Sir. I have a problem. My REX6000 had been useful in the US. But I moved to Japan. It can not handle fucking Japanese Kanji Characters. And it needs two CR2016 batteries at bi-monthly basis.

Soldier. You have to switch to more modern weapon. REX6000 is too old. It is not M1911. It is Colt45!!

Now, I am considering several options. N800, (old) iPod, iPod Touch and Android devices. One of my mandatory condition is syncing with Linux PC.

Soldier. Syncing with local PC is not current trend. Syncing with remote server is current trend. Are you aware of that?

Sir. I know. But my preference is definitely syncing with local Linux PC.

Well. You need something special for that purpose. Can you arrange such thing?

I need little more time for my research.

Soldier. Remember. Time is always against us. The worms are chasing you!!

I know. But I can do that, Sir.

Sir. I did little research about Chandler. I can say the project is dead at least for Linux. It can not be istalled with Debian/Squeeze/amd64 environment. Because pre-install script requested wrong package name python-zopeinterface. Correct name is python-zope.interface. This bug report was made almost 8 months ago. However, the bug is still alive. So I have to rule out Chandler from my plan.

Soldier. The worms are bihind you!! (72H later)

Sir. I found j-pilot can not handle Japanese character. So I have to rule out this. But I also found CSV to sqlite conversion is quite easy.

But there are still many missing peaces of puzzle. You have to find them. It seems like Evolution has no problem. It supports vCard import/export. But its GUI is not my taste.
